I´m thinking of converting my SXR600 into a 700. Has anyone done this? Will I need to change anything more than the cyls, pistons, head? Are the stock 600 carbs too small :?:

We have a MM600 that I have thought about doing the same thing to. What I have found out is the motor is easy, just cylinders, pistons, and head, you will need the 700 carbs. The electrical is the hard part, I have heard you just need the CDI box. But if you look at the parts differences between a 600 and 700, you will see that almost everthing is different, stator, coils, rectifier, etc., etc.

Are you shure about all those electrical stuff being different? I compared the part numbers on a CDI, stator and ignition-coils for a 2002 MM600 and a 2002 MM700, and in the online parts catalog they are the same. I suppose that the electrics are the same on a MM and an SXR, so hopefully all that's needed is the head, cyls, pistons and carbs.
