Are these pretty accurate? I have a 00 SRX and it's running at 8650 r.p.m. at full throttle. I know they other manf are off at times. Just wanted to see if it was the same at the Yamaha camp.

I was told by my dealer that on the topend there off 100-200 rpms. Soc
With several same model same year sleds side by side they will vary up to 200 rpm either way. Pretty good indicator that for the most part they are accurate with a tolerance level of +-200 rpm

that makes it tough to tune for peak torque and horse power.-Harvey
A Tiny Tach works great for that, or gauges that record info work even better.
I don't think that they are off that much, maybe 50rpms either way. As both of mine like 83-8500.
