Hey guys, I just installed a Polaris 15w lower gear in my chaincase and it is all ligned up proper but now my reverse won't enguage, I took out the Polaris gear again and sized it up compared to the Yamaha one and found the four large tabs inside the outter part of the gear, which engages for forward operation, is countersunk a little different then the Yamaha one causing my problem, would a Polaris outter reverse idler gear which mates to the inner large gear, fix my problem, or will it work at all?? please help, I really need this to work.
