Dogpile:
A management tool to help keep TY the best sled site on the internet.

Announcement, Dogpile...a new forum section!
What is the concept behind Dogpile?

Dogpile is an innovative management tool to keep TY moving along its intended path, as it grows in members and in pages of content. It is designed to keep the primary focus on building friendships, having fun, and exchanging information to get the most out of riding your Yamaha Snowmobile, in addition to keeping the material better organized.

What happens in Dogpile?
It is a very unique section compared to all the others.
Members are not allowed to start threads in this area.
The Site administrators and moderators move threads or posts from other sections into Dogpile for various reasons, which may include a rule violation such as redundancy, incorrect information, negativity without any constructive value or various other reasons based on the judgment of the management team.
An admin or moderator will edit the post / thread and state the reason the thread or post(s) was moved.
Initially, depending on how it works out, members are free to comment on the moved threads. Authors of the threads/posts that were moved can state their case on why the material should be move back to its original location, and in some cases, it may be moved back. We will give you advice, if asked, on how to change your thread/post around so it fits better into the original section. Once a thread stops moving forward in a productive manner it will be locked and threads will be cleaned out (deleted) periodically most likely weekly.

EXAMPLE: A thread that was started when the same topic is already under discussion on the front page of the section.

You could avoid being moved in this case by scanning the first page to see if the topic you want to post on is already under discussion and adding your content on to that thread.

Another example would be asking about issues such as the Yamaha wheel issues that has been started over and over (Redundant).

Again you could avoid being moved in this case by scanning the first page to see if the topic you want to post on is already under discussion and adding your content on to that thread.

There maybe instances that threads will be deleted because of graphic nature or very serious rule violations and will not make it into the Dogpile Forum.
