Start to almost finished, I need emblems and am waiting on a sway bar ! 2 new crank bearings, pistons and seals, widened to 42", G.Y.T. Kit Struts with adjustable dampening & rebound from a 5-600 Vmax including the aluminum knuckles and strut holders with 2" more travel, I extended and dropped the rear out of the tunnel to offset the higher front, Polaris 133.5"x7/8" track, handle bars raised, secondary windage plates, cold air kit and lastly a fresh coat of base/clear paint ! I know the Exciter's needed the aftermarket torque arm to keep the clutches aligned, does anyone have or can take a picture of one ? Thanks !

Thanks guy's ! The Phazer kit had a round 3"? pvc/pcvc piece of pipe that connected to underside of the louvered piece (below the Fairing) and slid over the existing air box round inlet after taking off the O.E.M. snorkel !

Couple of Updated pictures ! The one shows the difference between a standard Exciter or Phazer and the Exciter XT with Vmax struts !

That is an awsome looking sled. I have tones of questions about the front end. I have a 90 Phazer II. I am puting a Polaris 136 M10 in. The extra tall front would be great. Is there a part # for the G.Y.T. Kit Struts with adjustable dampening & rebound from a 5-600 Vmax including the aluminum knuckles and strut holders with 2 1/2" more travel? Does the kit come with the wider side panels?

Daring
The front Struts from the 1994-96 Vmax 5-600cc sleds will give you 2" more travel ! You need the longer shock covers, springs and aluminum knuckles along with the struts. You can find them fairly reasonable on E-bay, any parts forum or salvage yards ! I bought a set of brand new(rare) Genuine Yamaha GYT Kit struts off of E-bay that were an upgrade for the Vmax 5-600 sleds with adjustable dampening, rebound and slightly longer travel for $75.00 ! Yamaha part # SMA-8CA91-10-00

Here is another set I saw a while back !

There are different springs for the T.S.S. and I've tried to find a spring rate chart but, only found one for the older/shorter springs. The springs are fairly soft in that the 94's and had like 1.5" of sag called (sit in) from Yamaha and Bender Racing made a kit to increase the travel with I believe stiffer Springs ? I'm going to install the longer Struts and drop the rear suspension of my (Widened 40" & Lengthened 133.5") 1990 Phazer II this summer !

Here is a list of strut parts from a 1994 Vmax. Don't be shocked at the price I've bought both sides for less than $100.00 if you watch for a 94-96 being parted.

Cold Air Kit.

Looks awesome!
That cold air kit looks interesting... Do they still make it? I've looked all over ebay for one for my 91 Phazer II.

How did you widen the front end? Was it a kit or did you cut and weld it? Is there a recommended width or you came up with the 42" yourself. I finaly found a set of shocks from a 95 Vmax. I was looking to see I can still get the cartridge. It has been discontinued, oh well.
