My dad changed the belt on our MM 700 this winter and the one he put in was shorter then the previous one. It was rubbing at idle, bringing the rpm way down. He went to the yami shop and they told him to adjust the screws on the secondary. He did and the rubbing went away.

But recently came back from University and checked the clutchs to notice that the belt was sittin way too low in the secondary, I mean way low. Shouldn't it be like 1-2mm above the edge of the secondary and not 6-8 mm in it ?? Thats the way I remember it was with the old belt. Is it just a faulty belt or is it normal for the belt to be that low ?

On another topic I noticed some side movement on the Secondary, about 1/8 inch, wondering its normal.
