1 1/4 track on srx

I'm still pretty new to yamaha and I bought a ripsaw for my 00 srx. I heard I have to remove the protectors. Will this increase the risk of anything bad happening? Maybe I should have just went with the 1" 9830 track instead. I guess I'm still used to my cats and you could run just about nay track you wanted. Thanks

I think that you will be fine once you remove the front heat exchanger protector and tunnel protector.You just can't have it studded

you can run a 1.25" track on your srx with no problems...even with the protectors in place. (no studs)
