I was looking at riding in a NY state park, And it looks like one has to have insurance for the sled. is this a fact? what is the cost of insuring?

Insurance should be pretty cheap for your Phazer. This all depends on how old you are too though. I used to have my sled under homeowner's insurance, I'd check into that if I were you. I now have my 2003 Pro-X 800 insured for $175 a year, full coverage($500 deducatable) under my parents name(because it would cost alot more for a 20 year old to have it in his name). Not sure if this works in New York but it's legal in South Dakota and my body and the sled are covered if I wreck while riding.
