we have finalized the testing on our trail turbo kit, as always durability is our first concern, we have spent countless hours dynotesting our kit monitoring durable horsepower that is the same on the first run as it is on the 6th run, as well as fuel flow, bsfc, egt, turbo outlet air temp/ pressure, carb air temp/pressure, (after the intercooler) as well as other temperatures and pressures to numberous to list, while beating the living crap out of our sled in as many worst case senerios as we could dream up, the result is 192 hp in pump gas trail form, we are very happy with these results because this is real world horsepower, the engine was dyno'd before the turbo was put on, and it made 137 hp, this is the same rx-1 that we had run a 10.84 second 1/4 mile time with at union grove, so this engine was not detuned, we have dyno'd stronger stock engines, but that is why we dyno'd before and after the turbo kit was installed, so we could give you real world hp, the kit will add 55 hp to any rx-1. we are going to build a limited number of kits this year, they are availible for 4500.00 us, our kits are a first class, no expenses spared kit, they include a intercooler the takes the 225 degree turbo outlet air, and reduces it to 150 degree air, the 75 degree drop in intake air temperature dramatically helps increase not only the sustained horsepower output of the turbo, but think of the added reliability your engine will see having 75 degree cooler intake air entering it helping to fight off any detonation issues, some are claiming that intercooler are not necessary, i would just like to state a fact that you can take or leave, i say a fact because it is not an opinion, there is a big difference, the only reason turbo charging makes more horsepower, is because it increases your air density, now there are to ways to increase your air density, #1 is to increase your the air pressure, this works great, but it has a flaw, by increasing your air pressure, you also increase your air temperature, in our testing 75 degree ambient (outside air temp) became as high as 225 degrees, higher air temps mean less density, which is not what you want, the second way to increase air density is to lower the air temperature, by intercooling the turbo outlet air, this air temperature was reduced to 150 degrees, less heat is more density, more desity is more horsepower, and improved durability. another fact is that 7.5 lbs of boost from system to system does not guarantee you will see the same horsepower, through testing we have seen as much as 20 horsepower difference with different components we have designed and tested, all maintaning the same 7.5 pounds of intake boost pressure, this may seem strange to you because its the same pressure, why would the power be any different? there are many things that go into designing a high output turbo charger that not only works, but works efficently, we have spent countless hours in the development of our turbo kit, we have done our homework, our kit flat out kicks ass, we are ready to give you a money back guarantee if our turbo produces less than 190 hp, if anyone claims more in trail form, get a money back guarantee from them, because you will be using it, our kits are selling for 4500.00 us, we are taking orders now, delivery will be in 6-8 weeks from order placement, dyno sheets and pictures will be posted on our website soon. jeff
