Carbon Tech reeds

What can I expect from installing reeds and notching the stoppers in a stock 2001 sxr700?Throttle response,hp gains,low/mid/high ranges.Thanks

The gains you get from the reeds themselves will be minimal unless you have triple pipes or porting which require more airflow, but they definately wont hurt. Notching the reeds will clean up the bottom end a lot, eliminating most of that low speed burble below 5000 rpms. Realistically, probably no more than 2 or 3 horsepower gain, but much quicker throttle response and a lot cleaner running.
