Boyesen Reeds opinions

A friend just gave me a set of Boyesen reeds to try in my 01 SXR 700. Are they woth putting in? Does anyone have any opinion on these? What about jetting? Thanks to all

Hi, I just installed them on my 2001 sxr 600. Can't tell u how they work until the snow flies. They r a dual stage reed so they should work better through out the rpm range. They recomend jetting down 1 to 3 jet sizes. If your going to do it U might as well do the reed stopper notch while u have it apart if u haven't already. I can tell u that they have made a noticable differance in my yamaha dirt bikes. Good luck and think snow!

i dont know to much about boyensen reeds but i know carbon fiber reeds are better,
if they are the pro series. you get better throttle response more hp faster starting but thease are the pro series reeds that come with the boyensen rad valves.
