Will be officially starting up this week.

This year we'll be on the same night (Thursdays) but will move the start time up a half hour for us East coast guys.

So, Thursdays 9:30 Eastern, 8:30 Central, 7:30 Mountain. :)

I would guess there'll be guys in there till 11E/10C/9M and a revolving door during that time. Come on in and check it out, some sleds, some bench racing, some BS. ;)!

'TY Chat' link is in the menu bar at the top or HERE. See you Thursday!

It's Thursday1 Some of the East coasters mentioned being in chat at 9 eastern but don't know if they'll remember. at any rate, I'll be there by 9:30 eastern

Happy Turkey Day! Some new guidlines/rules to have a look at.

1. Introduce yourself to everyone in the chat room, or at least say Hi, we generally don't bite.

2. The topics can vary greatly but we usually come back to sleds in some form. There's nothing like a good question to get the room back to talking sleds.

3. State any questions clearly in the room, should that be your reason for arriving. Simply asking for help, saying you need help, or telling the room you have a question will not turn attention towards you. People are not mind readers, and they cannot help you unless you ask for it. Be specific in what you are looking for, and provide all relevant details to your question.

4. Be civil to others. This is important in any situation, but even more so in a chat room, because only text is seen, and you can not see facial expressions or hear tones of voice. Cursing excessively is NOT considered being civil.

5. Give the room a chance to answer you. Patience is a virtue.

6. Don't spam or flood the room with repeated questions, statements, or links. Avoid using the Enter key as a pause. It's not a contest to see how many lines of chat anyone can accumulate.

7. Avoid typing in all caps. It is hard on the eyes to read and considered rude. It is the Internet equivalent to shouting. If you want to call attention to a particular word or phrase, Do so in the same manner that you would in conversation. Just ask, and see who answers.

8. Be friendly, and respect others in the channel. You are, after all, a guest in the chat room.

Not following these guidelines may result in being booted from the Chat session and can lead to complete banning from chat. Your actions on TY Chat may also affect your forum accounts as well.
