I just ordered a new 2004 rx-1 warrior. Can anyone tell me if this sleds new track needs studs and how many? I ride in Maine, NH and vermont. Sometimes there is some ice. Thanks. Cherrystone

you may want to go to the RX1 Forum, many diehard warrior and rx1 fans there.....but its really up to you. My 136" track has them down the middle for just that reason.

Besides the fact that MrSled is such a stud himself.

While many riders get away without studs, they do in fact add a margin of safety to your riding experience in that you will have better control of your machine when you encounter ice.

In my case, it was $400 worth of parts replaced on my new '95 VMax after hitting a patch of ice, sliding, then hitting a patch of dirt, that convinced me to install studs then and on every sled I've owned since.

The required length, type, quantity, brand, pattern, etc. will vary proportionately by the amount of people you ask and more importantly by the type of riding you "honestly" do.
