I am just finishing the install of my fly bars, and I want to clean up all the wiring that is stickin out. Was thinking of just extending the wires somehow (cut and solder extension wires) so that the quick plugs are hidden under the hood. Or may be just hard wire the works and remove the quick plugs all together?

Question: is this safe? whay kind of electrical wire do I need? any specific type of wire?

Don't want to cut anything like TORS or heated grip type stuff and not have it working properly.

Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

tks

I would cut and solder wire and the use "heatshrink" to seal the wires. Don't hard wire it, you may want to take it apart some day. I belive the would make it look cleaner.
