2000 MM 600 Front Shocks

have bent one front shock, not sure how or where lost compression. Went to local Yamaha dealer to pu one and was blown away at the price tag $359.00 CAD for a hydraulic shock? What is everyone using? Where are they buying them? Seems a little pricey?
 

I put on a set of revalved SRX KYB shocks with the upper brackets reverse. Puts them hydraulic shocks to shame. If you gonna spend money like that I would find a set of Ohlins...Soc

P.s. 50.00 is a good deal, that is what I sold mine for.

Viper Shocks

I read last year on one these threads that Viper Shocks can be installed on a narrow ski stance sled like a M-Max without changing the rods or sway bar. How is this done? The has to be compressed about 2" to get the bolts in. By compressing the shock won''t this give you a stiffer ride? Are the springs readjusted? If so how many inches? If I need these parts does anyone have the extended rods and sway bar?

If this works I will have a good pair of stock MM700 shocks for sale. $30.00 plus shipping.
