vmax hood

hello to all, okay ive got a question about hoods, theres a guy selling what looks like a 98 srx hood,he says it will fit all models 97 and up,with a few obvious ones that it wont, well my question is WILL IT FIT a 97 vmax style xtc,ive always wondered this was lookin at pics of the two machines and they look somewhat similar, hope it will work would love to put an srx hood on my 97 vmax 700 xtc, any input will be greatly appreciated, thanks to all

it will only fit any year srx, will not fit the sx body style.. sorry
i believe the sx body style is narrower
