jack shaft for 1995 v-max LE 600

I'm looking for instruction on installing a jack shaft for a 1995 v-max 600 with reverse can anyone help me with that or know where I can get a repair manual thanks.
 

I just want to make sure I don't have to take anything more apart then I have to. I've never done this before. For example do I have to take the chain case apart.
