What heavy would a stock msrx be. Also how would it do against a 99 670ho summit in a race also how heavy would the summit be.

I have my 98 MSRX with a 136 X 1.25 & clutched just about perfect for 1000' runs & have no probs with a 98 670 ho shorty that is clutched.

My wife's MSRX gets smoked all the time (136x1.25). It sure doesn't like F7's. Top end 140kms. What set up are u using Turk??

23/39 gearing, 8bu-00 weights, 50/40 helix & green secondary spring. I raced a buds 05 Rev 800X & stayed ski tip to ski tip right thru to top end. His Rev had spacers, Cudney clutching & a MBRP can(probably slows him down).

My wife is running 8 bu's (no idea what rivets) stock gearing (anyone know what it is?), and stock helix. I bought the sled for her used "right on the lake" a few years back so I have no idea what was done to it (ie. no colour indicators on the springs, etc). It currently revs at 81-82, but top end is only 140 and that's it, mind you it doesn't take that long to get there. I will look into the 50/40 helix.

Stock gearing is 23/39. You will get better top end running a lower finish angle on the helix & loading the tip. You might get better top end letting it rev up to 83-8400 rpm on the big end.

they prefer about 8400 on a long run once the pipes start getting some heat in them.

track combined with gearing is what's killing you.

as far as "no taking long" to get to 140 kph, it SHOULD be a baliistic missile to that speed, but gearing would be in the 20-40 range (similar to a grass drag set-up)

if it can bite, it'd be hitting 140kph in about 500' and approximatly 6 seconds

It is a good accelerator, but no comparison to F7's I've raced. Mind you the F7's were in race trim. 140 kms is just too slow. It should easily go over 160km imho. The heel of my weights are empty with rivets in the tips.

your shure about that gearing?
I was thinking it was
21/39 for the M
23/39 for the 600
23/37 for the 700

but its been a while

with a 51/45 helix I could reg. see 155 kms per hr ;)! with a 141" 2" camo I also ran the silver sec spring and geared down to 2-1 ratio
