Vmax flatslides on a Phazer II...

When you guys run flatslide carbs on your Phazer IIs do you gut the airbox? I'm having trouble getting mine to run right seems to want to loadup after about an hour of riding. Especially if my kids are riding it, since they ride a lot slower on the trails. After sitting for bit it runs great again. Plugs are dark, almost black.

airbox must be completely gutted .....if not they will run rich from mid range up ......cold air intake is a big help too
