i think you are right. the only ones i have seen with those yellow lights on the hood where all japan models. it might have came to usa under a different model designation.

just be aware that the track adjuster bolts like to break while being ridden on those old yamaha bogy suspensions. i used to carry 2 when i went out riding the 1975 gs338 my parents had.
 
I can certainly see the progression to my 72 EW's in the chassis , hood and headlight.
I really surprised that they didn't stay with the double sprocket drive track. Not sure where
you will find parts catalogs ... All the USA / Canada models had single cog drives that I
looked up.... Very amazing that someone imported it . Have seen pictures of the models
with all the lights and plate holder on front before for areas outside North America before.
Hope someone here steers you to the continents they were marketed.
Someone appears to added a button on seat.

I consider a project a sled that you can find more parts form local sleds ..NOT local
