I'm looking to move into something a bit newer, currently riding a 1999 Phazer 500. I've only owned 2 strokes Entices, Ovations, pogo and trailing arm Phazers. I was thinking of moving up to a newer sled, being a 4 stroke, I don't know much about the different models. What would be best for mostly field/trail ridding.

Was thinking of going with 136 inch track since the 4 strokes are a bit heavier.

Anyone able to help brake down the different models and what they are best for?

Mercer . You will get some answers here but you will find enough in
in the TY4stroke forums .. need to sign in separately there .
The newer machines are put together like vehicles , really close tolerances and
made to be smooth and very adjustable ..
You are young enough to do the switch ... At 69 it like space science to me

TY thumper side is the lo-cal for info but as a current owner of a 04 warrior and 2014 phazer rtx i will give a readers digest version:coffee:If your like dirtbikes/quads stick with the four-stroke phazer,if your like snowmobiles more stick with the delta box sleds, longer the track the better:ORC.

i would reccomend a phazer mtx or xtx as the only 136" sleds are rail extensions. the xtx/mtx are 144" track with a tip up at 136" legnth. these sleds should top out around the same as what you currently have. sitting on it is like sitting on a 4 wheeler. fx nitro is heavier but kind of is the same.

the delta box sleds (rx, rs, apex, venture, vector) are more trail biased but do work not too bad off trail on the 136" and longer legnths. seating position is more traditional but can be modded for better stand up riding.

the 09 phazer rtx/x in my signature is one of my favorite sleds for playing in the feilds as it is easier to get carving than the other sleds in my siganture.
