Can you run a venture 500 without a battery?

Any updates on this smoothing condenser installation?
My starter failed a few years back on my 700 Venture so I removed it. Now I'd like to get rid of the 12lbs battery if possible.

I believe your sled has the wiring needed for the smoothening condenser, but you still have to look through the wiring diagram if you remove it. Removal was not possible on my venture 500 due to the wiring harness. I bought an aftermarket starter for like 110 dollars so it wasn't that bad. Now I have a starter.
