I have a modular 3 helmet with heated visor that is not working. When I ohm it out, I get 125k ohms. I apply 12 volts and I can read 12 volts across the riveted ring terminals where they attach to the heating elements. I am guessing that the heat tape or whatever it is, has an open in it somewhere. Has anyone successfully repaired this kind of condition with that rear defrost repair paint? I haven't tried poking the heating element with a test light yet to see if I can find an open or even get a reading. Has anyone been able to test the elements themselves?
