I recently acquired a 78 et250. It had the original keihnen carb but would not start at all. Therefore based on advice from others I changed out the carb with a mikuni vm34 and installed a fuel pump. Main jet -220, Pilot - 30, Needle 159 Q-0, Jet needle 6DH3, Slide - 2.5, uni-filter. Needle clip is in middle. Air screw out 1 1/2.
At same time I changed out the crank seals as the sled had been sitting for quite some time before I acquired it. At first it fired up and ran. Now I cannot seem to get it to run. If I remove the spark plug and put fuel in it, it will fire but only run for 20-30 seconds. I have cleaned the carb, and pilot jet a few times thinking it might be clogged but that does not seem to make any difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
