tunnel protectors need to be removed?

will i need to removed the tunnel protectors to run a 1.38" track? thanks

Shouldn't.

I have found anything over a 1" lug they will rub. I would remove them if not planning on running studs. Otherwise you have to trim the lugs at the protectors, not worth it to me.

Don't know if there's much difference between a Venture and a Viper tunnel, but I've racked up 5000kms on a 1.35 Cobra track with tunnel protectors in place. I'm sure the track rubs them when decelerating but in my case the track shows zero damage anywhere from it. That said, for this season I have plans to finally remove them.
