Hello and thank you for the opportunity to post on this site. I am working on a 1993 Yamaha Ovation that spent a long time in the woods. Did a ton of cleanup and fully disassembled the carb and replaced the choke cable as well as the inlet needle and choke plunger, OEM Yamaha. It cleaned up well but had some mouse induced corrosion on the exterior and in the barrels. Furthermore, someone over tightened the air adjustement screws and punched them through the top of the barrels. It starts easily and runs but loads up and is unpredictable at idle. Can these holes be repaired or do I need to start over with a new used carb? Compression is excellent at 122-125psi on both holes. Also, I am struggling to adjust the choke properly. Thank you for any help that you can offer.
