Has anybody mounted aux LEDs on their old sleds? I was thinking of mounting these on the front bumper. I have a buddy who has mounted LEDs on his 4-stroke Phazer. I was wondering if the electrical would handle them. I have 150w 97 700 Mtn Max and a 300w 98 700sx. I see that the wiring kit includes a relay & fuse.

Option 1. I have! just rewire the hi beam switch to 12volts DC then pull of the yellow wire at the hood. Make sure its dc or you will kill the light. no need for relay. would add fuse.
Option 2. if you want to save some time buy this https://tinyurl.com/ycq6drb8 and put this in between the light and the existing headlight plug, if you do it this way you dont need to rewire the switch, if you want me to make you a diagram, tell me which one you want to do.

So are you running the LEDs in addition to the headlights or in place of them?

i run them in place of because i have a BR tech hood

OK, I was also wondering if the electrical systems would handle to extra load of having these and the headlights.

They should. You need to buy the converter tho since you are running the stock headlights that run on ac, unless you want to put them on a separate switch. let me know.

Leds dont draw many amps so i dont see why you couldnt put them on.

If they dont light fully just add a big capacitor.

I agree!!

I would love a diagram...But I am thinking adding it to its own switch. I have read that you need a 12v rectifier inline? Thoughts? What wires would you pull off of? I have a 2002 Viper and SXR. I know a lot of people would love a straight forward diagram to help with ease of installation.

Do you still need your AC to DC converter or a 12v rectifier? How would you wire that in? Before the switch?

i dont think so, use a tester to confirm. im not sure on the srx... you could probaly find the brown wire too.

THe lighting kit comes with a switch, so I was think of adding them on their own, and put them on the same wire as you would a GPS.

Yes as long as its dc

Ok so the Ignition wiring BR (brown) and B (blue) are 12v DC?

im not sure about the blue but wire the 12 dc from the brown wire, and the negative to the black wireOk so the Ignition wiring BR (brown) and B (blue) are 12v DC?
