SX Viper- Spacers behind chain gears

Putting my sled back together and have a question about the spacers behind the two gears in the chaincase. I was sure I laid them out the way I took them off. There are two spacers, once is thicker than the other. I thought thicker spacer was behind the bottom gear and the thinner one was behind the top gear, but now looking at the service manual and the parts fiche, I think they go the other way. Not sure how I would have messed that up.

Also, for the bottom gear, the side of the gear with the shoulder faces in towards the chaincase, right?

thicker spacer goes on top, thinner on bottom because the lower gear has a shoulder on backside.
