I currently use 23/38 gears. If I decide to drop a tooth to a 22/38 gear, how much clutch weight will I have to add to keep my rpm right where they are. I was hoping adding half a gram to the tip would work cause that’s what I have here lying around. Any info appreciated

it wont be a lot but how about actually testing it and see how many rpm it is over, its all about the entire combo as to what the rpm will be. anytime you gear a sled down it will pull more weight because you are removing load from the engine so it revs higher but only 1 tooth will be small. might be as simple as looking at your secondary wind, is it optimal? the lower the sec spring tension the more top speed you get and lower peak rpm at same time. test first and see.........
