97 vmax 600 secondary setting?

I believe that is only 50 degree, I think you would need #3 and #3 to get 60 degree.

Do you have a sx or a xtc? Pics please :)
its a xtc. just got 67 miles on a fresh rebuild. picked it up super cheap $100 over the summer. was blown up and in need of a lot of tlc. was given a 2001 mint vmax seat for some welding work. went thru everything that needed attention and just working on dialing in the primary clutch. its a pretty sharp sled now. was well worth the work I put into it. will get some good pic tomorrow and post :>)

How about getting a set of used heelclickers? You can even use the stock helix due to the engine power curve. A 40-10 kit made my venture go no less than 90 mph, a 10 mph improvement over stock.

I haven't got into the secondary yet still working on the p85 primary. was turning 8000 plus rpms. weights were 48.6 grams and are now 53 grams. it helped with belt slipping but I still need to bring the rpm's down to 7800 . I'm thinking if I reduce tension on the secondary it will pull the belt in sooner and reduce the r's. am I wrong in my thinking. it backshift pretty quick now

Are you running the stock red secondary spring?

3+3=6 or 60(in our case)
6+1=7 or 70.......”
6+2=8 or 80.......”

just looked at the parts diagram. red is stock. not sure what the rate of this spring is. guess the only thing for me to do is try different settings with it. hard to get thing just right when messing with both the Polaris primary and a secondary that doesn't have a stock spring in it. have to keep testing is all
