question.. Im new to owning a viper and have never performed clutch work before. I have 2 2002 vipers (red er ) Im not racing or anything to extreme... just fun zippy trail riding on nice groomed trails..
What clutch update would you all suggest to update the clutch to get just a tad bit more snappy (AKA: throttle response) coming out of a turn on the trail? Also what are the key areas to monitor for maintenance and how do you know when to maintenance..

try in the tec pages under snowmobile tec and user clutching charts. should be able to find what you need in there.
brother had a pretty wicked one for his 02 viper that turk reccomended and we loved that made it an animal for corner to corner but did loose a bit on top end.

the cheapest and easiest route with a viper is to change out the rear helix, it has a straight 47 in it stock, I usually use a 53/43 helix in them if your looking to make it quicker and backshift better. by the sounds of what your wanting, if you just want it more zippy use a 51/43 helix in it with the stock red dot sec spring at 80 degrees, that will wake it up.
