1999 700 sxr

You can use longer shocks in the front for a little higher stance, the problem is that if you go too far your steering arms will hit the bulkhead when shocks are fully extended causing hard steering or even bending the rods. You may have more than one stock mounting hole for the rear of the skid that could raise the rear up, but there isn't one for the front of the skid. Raising the rear of the machine by lowering the skid mount position will increase ski pressure and cause harder steering and possibly darting if you go too far with only the rear of the skid.

If you do a search here a bunch of people have used viper shocks for the front or Phazer floats(with the right brackets)
Some have used drop brackets in the rear with varying results, some have remounted the whole skid, some just adjust for their conditions. Some change to a different rear suspension entirely.
Biggest thing to remember is that if you go too drastic with either end without addressing the entire suspension you will likely have undesirable effects on the trail handling.
