I have a 2002 Viper with no reverse or electric start. The machine has a little over 9,000 miles on it. It is well maintained & very clean & I am the original owner. I have no problem with the machine as of now. What I would like to know when checking compression do you check when cold or hot. When New what would the compression be at ? At what No. would you say the engine
needs new rings. Can someone tell me the procedure for checking compression. Remember I have no electric start. I rode the machine up in the UP a few days ago & it still runs strong.

Thank's in advance
Rich
