a buddy's artic cat just grenaded on him
he wasn't aware he had to lube the bottom bearing

the mountain max doesnt have a greaseable lower correct?

love these old sleds!

It doesn’t have a grease fitting but should be greased every year. Take off secondary and with a small pick you can remove bearing seal. Use a needle greaser to shoot new grease in and force old out. Just be careful with seal. I do both drive and jackshaft bearing every year. Original bearings still look new.

i do this every season to my sleds and my apex just finally had that bearing fail at roughly 11000 miles (18000 km). if it has the rubber seals, yes you can pick them out and repack them with grease. some of the replacement ones have steel seals on them i i reccomend changeing them every 2-3 season to prevent failure. the steel ones can be re-packed but it is a pain to do them.
