Can anyone tell me what side the silicone on the gasket faces? Towards the water jacket or cylinder heads?
Don't see which way in manual or prats breakdown.

Usually it faces in the direction it bridges another material like on mag cover it bridges the rubber from the harness.

Wow that's a trick question "water Jacket". I'm guessing you are asking about the gasket between the water rail and cylinder?

Pic attached, I don't know if these gaskets have ever been replaced as I don't know the history of the engine, but I suspect these haven't been apart before now.
