Ok, thanks to Couple of Bucks, and some others, replaced my 8DF 600SRX stock track 39.6 lbs with this Hacksaw track at 33 lbs. Faster top end, and way better traction I'm sure, also replaced all bearings and seals on drive axle, jackshaft and chain case.

Well, got the Viper front end back from powdercoat, shocks rebuilt, and mostly assembled.

I see you supplemented the seal at the air filter:hood meeting point. Have you blocked off the warm air ports that are incorporated/molded into the hood?
Do every little thing you can to prevent steam from entering the intake. Steam = bog.
 
That is actually factory Yamaha air filter, just took it out of the packaging yesterday.
Does have a weird color to the lower part though doesn’t it.
