I've always wanted one, and I finally got one, but information seems a little vague for these guys. Is the VMax 540 a nikasil bore? What is expected/acceptable compression for these motors? Starting a complete resto on an 84, anyone have cosmetic parts laying around let me know, Thanks.

Yes nik bore if stock. Should comp at about 120 psi cold.
