Finally took the time to try this mod, all I can say is I should have done it years ago. I have an older set of after market plastic skis on my Venture, witch don't actually have a "shelf" for my viper ski rubber blocks to sit on. Just two raised supporting walls but nothing inbetween them. Weird design. So I welded a 2"x13/16 X 1/4 thick steel plate so each rear rubber ski block is properly supported. Then went out for a ride on some well travelled groom trails. The difference is amazing! I still have some darting but it's been reduced by atleast half! So that's great and all it took was 45 min of my time, some cutting, welding, and bolting. Awesome cheap mod!
