I'm looking at buying some tygon fuel line for my vintage 79-83 exciter/enticers. What size id should I get? Thanks

I just did a whole writeup on this in the enticer enthusiasts group on facebook.

Summary: get OEM Yamaha lines. They are special metric diameters.

Thanks!!! I've had bad luck with all aftermarket fuel lines I've purchased.

Yep, very common problem, but not usually correctly identified. The aftermarket lines are often poor materials, plus the diameters don't fit the barbs or stock clips. The OEM are all specific sizes and are available in metric Tygon. I can't find a bulk source of the proper Tygon. It must be a special manufacturing run for Yamaha.

Here are two part #'s from Yamaha, one is the large line (tank to pump) at 40" long. Other is small line (pump to carb and vent) at 58" long.

About $10 each. I always buy and stock these.
