Just looking for some recommendations for a plastic ski or skin for my '78 Exciter 440. I bought Kimpex skins for it, but they are quite large and looks like I am supposed to rivet them to the metal ski. Was looking for some actual first hand field recommendations.
Thanks
Rick

the ones i had on my et410 and a couple of old leafer sleds i fixed up this year used the wear/carbide mounting bolts to hold them on and a screw across the front to hold it to the ski loop.

Maim, You apparently used these 8" wide ones, or were you able to find a narrower one to use? I found this video, for the universal ski skins, put up by a Kimpex rep. I thought, which showed him riveting it on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3fu-3klRQs
I would actually like some that are not quite as wide, as they look like something that should be on a sled pulling a groomer.

the ones i had on the et410 where the almost same width as the stock skis as where the ones on the sprint. the wider ones where on the 90 et400 and all that was used to hold them on was the wear bar mount and a screw to hold the tip to the ski loop. the ones that went onto the vmax steel skis used a rivit at the front and rear from the pics i am seeing. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/97-98-99-Ya...5eb99e25:g:EigAAOSwoW1cdVxt:rk:2:pf:0&vxp=mtr

they went on like the ats style ones. found my gf pics of the sprint skis on facebook but am too computer dumb to get the pic here for you.
