Need help with clutching on my Phazer 2

I've got a 95 Phazer 2 LE. It runs great, has good power but not much off the line, what could I do as far as clutching goes to wake this thing up off the line?
 

Maybe up the engagement so its farther out of the dead zone right away ?
Would need a primary spring with more initial force, with the same or similar total force.
What spring are you running now?
 
Only if the Total force of the spring was higher.
Springs are rated for an Pre load force,(controls engagement)
then a total force number(which controls shift RPM)

At least that's my understanding of it.
 
Red-Blue-Red is what it shows stock in your sled.
pre load is 20Kg
Total Force is 77Kg

So...
if you went to a Gold-Yellow-Gold
pre load 25Kg
Total Force 74Kg
or
Red-Yellow-Red
pre load 25Kg
Total Force 82Kg
 
do you think maybe the spring is just sagged out? It shows the engagement RPM is supposed to be at 3300, It's been a while since I ran it so I cant remember what it was engaging at but from what I remember it seemed like it engaged at a much lower rpm, like maybe around 2000.

So if I would go with one of the springs you listed, the engagement RPM would come up but shift RPM would stay the same?
 
That's the way I understand it, maybe a clutching guru can chime in.

You can always have yours tested at a local machine shop if you want to see if its still good.
But, they aren't expensive to buy new either.
