Considering 01 ML skis on a 99 venture 600 or a 97 venture 500.
Both the ski column and ski damper seem to be the same on the 600. The 01 update book says you can't just bolt on plastic skis, why not?
The rubber damper is different on the 500 according to part the #. Can I still just bolt them on? I have 2 sets of these skis.

well i have put 09 apex mtx skis onto an 01 sx500r. the rubbers usually work with a bit of trimming. the mtx skis need spacers, spindle tube and new ski bolt to fit on a trailing arm sled.
heck i put my 2016 apex xtx tuner skis right onto a 97 sx700 my brother picked up with no parts changes other than the bolts as his old ones where all hammerd up from rock hits.

Yes, 2001 Mountain lite 500.
the 01 mountain lite skis look to be the same skis as the srx and sxr from that era. they should bolt right up with no issues or extra hardware.
