Hello...i'm trying to install a 92 exciter 2 engine into my '80 srx chassis.I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for motor mounts or if anyone knows of anyone who has done a swap like this. thank you,Shawn

My uncle put a 540 vmax engine into a 76 srx chassis, does anyone know if the engine mounts are the same on the 540 and 570 engines? He did all the work himself, and that thing rips!

go to yamaha-motor.com and find parts and click on parts catalog.they have alot of fiche there to look at.that's what i've been doing to see what fits and what hits. srx570

Why would you put this lower HP engine in your SRX440?? the old 440 made way more HP then the 570 does......Unless it's heavily modified

Because i bought the entire sled for minimal coin and i thought it would be hotter than the 440 fan that was in my sled.I said i was putting it into an srx to simplify things but i'm actualy building a replica '77 srx out of an '80 exciter.now when you say "way" more,how much more are we talking? I was told my '92 engine was in the 90's and the srx made 100 or so.I'm also planning on twin pipes. thanks,shawn
