Stef

are you sure im pretty sure it was 27 lbs that why i jut post a forum to make sure but now u said 17 im pretty sure its that nowthanks!

What I do

I do 27 on Cylinder nuts and 18 on head bolts and or nuts. Have been known to go to 22 on red head bolts to eliminate leaking when gasket layers have been removed.

Not saying this is "by the book" it's just what I have been told and done in the past.

yea the reason i have to change my gaskets the guy i bught the sxr off got TWO layers off the head gaskets so u have to run high octane gasoline have no choice I didnt know that so i ran regular and burnt my head gaskets and to much compression its the head are shaved so im geting new gasket keeping it stock but it does make a difference with compression and torque

what year sxr?????

18 ft lbs.
