Buddy buys 04' Xc 700 edge. Clutches worked. Another one of my good buddies rides the Xc and they both agree that my 01 srx 700 stock will get walked on to 100mph. Also said its going to woop my in the trails. Lined up on hard, fresh dragged trail at 9am on a Sunday morning, sunny and a crisp 10 degrees f. We launch, my sled pulls my arms off....I look back after 200 feet to see the Xc behind me by 2+ sled lengths. I tuck and pray. I look back @ around 600 feet...6+ sled lengths in front of him. I get to the end of the field and pull of to the side, the Xc pulls up, my buddy looks at me and says the 1 thing I wanted to hear...."that thing spanked me"

my brother bought a new 2012 800 rush pro r. no spankin that thing! fast, fast, fast. to bad yamaha dont build something to compete, oh nevermind, the nitro got a bigger lugged track this year! lol

you could always spend the extra bucks to turbo the Nytro to 170 HP..but why are other sled brands just jump and and go fast sleds and Yamaha still not..you have to spend extra bucks to do so..not to cool..I love the Polaris Switch Back myself..worth lookin into...

here's some food for thought on that.
cat f1100 lxr msrp: $10,799
turbo f1100 lxr msrp:$13,499

so that turbo is a $2700 option.

fx nytro msrp: $11,200
my local dealer has a turbo option for the nytro for just a little over $1500. they have one on the floor right now ready to ride. jump on and go fast.

Compared to what sled/sleds??

I rode my buddies 800 Pro R. Very nice ride. Eats bumps for dinner. I didnt think it was much faster than my viper, if any. But perhaps I should have rode it more.

The guy I met in the UP of Michigan who had a 2012 Rush 800 this winter said his rode great but was slow on top end compared to his buddies 800's of other brands.

My dad got me a 2012 800 rush pro r.Its fabulous.I love driving it.I need tips to tk care of it guys!

better leave this site and go to the Polar site and ask the same question..bet you won't get much help there..

X2^^^^^ don't know the first thing about the new Polaris sleds.......nor do I want to. Now if you've still got a Yamaha.....that's a different story.

Hardcoresledder or amsnow would be a better choice.

Excuse me now, I think I am going to go over to dootalk and tell them how great my Yamaha is. LOL!!

just kidding!

the guy you met in the u p was my brother jeff. the only thing that beat him on top end w as an apex, 1000cc. he told me that his rush ate those 800 doos he was with for lunch! btw, that apex beat him only on the very top. we are comparing it to his mr. viper srx, 2002 built viper, 01 sxr, 08 800 renegade, and a 07? apex.

Your brother must have alot of work done to his Rush...the Pro R that my buddy brought out for a ride was a dog on top end, and from what I've read require gearing. Fantastic trail sleds, not bad out of the hole...but not top end sleds when stock. The 2012 Etech 800, 09 800r and 04 F7 in our group walked all over the Rush.

Polaris quality! "get out and ride!"

Oh wait? I cant! why? Because I decided to buy a polaris! Makes sense...

Where did he buy the sled? I asked this fella where he bought it so saying the guy I met was your brother might be a longshot. I'll give you a hint, it was bought in Minnesota and he lives in Minnesota.

I really get a kick out of guys talking smack about how their new or near new non yamaha bigger cc sleds will beat up on our srx's 10+ years old.
