It's a 96 XT6 with a brand new 95 head gasket. I am using a barely used SNAP-ON compression tester. My numbers came up 139 & 141 or 2. How could this be right. Cold engine and throttle at idle. I wasn't expecting them to be this high.
I would have expected 110 to low 130's my self on that combo. should be really crisp.

It wasn't even a rebuild. I just picked it up this past season, took the head off to inspect and remove carbon from the combustion chamber. Replaced the stock hg with a new 95 hg. Pulled each hole over 10 times and that's what came up. I just borrowed this good comp tester to see if I needed to re-ring it. U
