Does your dash lights come on with tors?

98 xtc and 00 sxr 700

I am having a problem thinking it might be the tors. I checked the cables...ect.ect..

Now I read for the last couple of years and wondering since not brought up with working with tors...

When your tors acts up does your dash light come on? I get no lights on either sled so I am going to check the dash lights to see if both lights are out.

I am only having a problem with the 98. Just no light on 00
 
i believe yours is the same as mine ,the point were the throttle(flipper on the handle bar) pivots moves first its not stationary it slids a little stops then it starts to pull the cables. on mine if you hold the throttle pivot point from moving toward the center of the sled it will activate the tors. the switch on the flipper has to be hit before the carbs start to open.
 
I went radar running yesterday with my SSX600 and the first run was ok but on the second run I got to the end of the 1000ft track let off the throttle and looked and saw my temp light flashing and hit the throttle and nothing. I had to let the sled idle for a few second and then it took off and went. I readjusted the throttle cable to give it more free play went and made another run and same issue. Is there and way I can bypass the TORS to test it? I know I had issues a couple of times last year but it always seemed to come out of it maybe switch is getting bad.
