putting together a 84 phazer for my 12yr old son. I would like to put a different chaincase on it to allow me to roll the drive axle for more clearence. Is there somewhere i can look up center to center measurements for chaincases?

How big of a lug do you want to fit? I was able to stuff a 144" x 2" track in my 91 with the stock chaincase and 7T extrovert drivers. Dropping to 7t drivers should get you enough clearance to easily run up to 1 3/4" track.
Depending on where you measure I have at the tightest about 1/4 - 3/8" and up to 1/2" clearance. Haven't really had any trouble with snow evacuation except running across the lake WOT in heavy powder which we don't normally do so hasn't been a problem. Running off trail in the woods it's been great.
