Who is using aftermarket grips and grip/bar warmers? What kind of heating element did you use and how did you wire it?Using the stock heater circuit or a toggle switch?

I bought some from a local dealer . I wired the two hi and low into the stock positive circuit. The one that piggyback from the left and right grip. The ground wire has individual wires for both left and right. I soldered the aftermarket grips in to the stock bullet connectors. This was a 98 srx700

I would also consider running the low voltage grips if you are running the pre_2000 stator

Both my sleds have the 300 watt mag in them.

With 300 watt mag I suggest running the RSI Hi Power elements with Hi and Low tied together and run them in parallel instead of series. Just connect to the stock rheostat. You should be around 2 - 3 ohms resistance compared to around 3.8 - 4 ohms for the stock elements.

I have used the RSI elements, installed them just as Ding says. They heat up very nicely.

What have you guys used for the grips themselves? What's comfortable on the hands and withstands the cold?

I've used the RSI grips, both tube style and the wrap. Either worked fine.
