O.K. Guys, I am trying to change out the track on my 2000 SRX....... I have a good predator ( Cone ) used track with 144 pics. Have her all torn down and can't get the gear box off. I have speedo bearing removed, Have 4 cog wheels, don't have enough to remove without pulling gear box.... so loosened all bolts and removed on gear box..... brake removed.... I only need couple inches.... thought the box would move.... Probably upper shaft holding all together so...... Drain plug also issue.... can't remove nothing fits between cog wheel and plug? Can I just remove lower bearing clips and pull out shaft and bearing ? What am i missing? maybe just less beers? LOL please advise?

What all did you remove so far? (pics might help)
Is this your first ProAction chassis chaincase removal? If yes, look in the Tech Pages (link upper right). If you have done this before then something is binding, and the pics should help us determine what.
I can't tell exactly what all you removed from your post, so can only guess at this point.

if you have not already done so remove skid back off adjusters at rear slide ahead work it out.with skid out it should take weight and tension off track at drivers.allowing gearbox to pull off.as Ding said check tech pages like Ding said I am guessing on what you may or may not have removed

you say gearbox so i assume chaincase. if this has never been off, and you removed the bolts that hold inner case to chassis, and have brake disassembled, take a pry bar and with flat side work it off at the bottom of case. your shaft is stuck in bottom bearing. don,t remove that clip, that won,t help. like posted pictures are very helpful. 3:16 (yammie tony)
